CLINICAL PILATES CLASSES

What is Pilates?

Pilates is a low-impact exercise method designed to improve flexibility, strength, and endurance. Developed by Joseph Pilates, it emphasizes precise movements and controlled breathing to engage both the body and mind. It's suitable for all fitness levels and can be customized to address specific rehabilitation needs.

The pilates classes are also attended by injury-free men and women who are simply looking to enhance their fitness levels, achieve toned bodies, and improve their general health and wellbeing.
How can Pilates help you:

Pilates can help treat chronic pain and neurological disorders such as Parkinson’s or Multiple Sclerosis, orthopaedic and sports injuries, osteoporosis and scoliosis of the spine. Pilates is ideal for those with health concerns, osteoporosis, joint replacements, chronic back pain, neck pain, and post-major surgery.

Core Strengthening:
Pilates targets the deep core muscles, enhancing stability and promoting a strong, balanced foundation for movement.

Flexibility:
Through a series of flowing movements, Pilates improves flexibility and joint mobility, reducing the risk of injuries and promoting a full range of motion.

Posture Improvement:
Pilates encourages proper alignment, helping to correct imbalances and alleviate strain on the spine. This makes it an excellent choice for those with postural issues.

Rehabilitation:
Pilates is widely recognized for its rehabilitative benefits. It can be adapted to aid in the recovery process from injuries, surgeries, or chronic conditions, under the guidance of our skilled physiotherapist Xanine.

Mind-Body Connection:
Pilates fosters mindfulness and body awareness, promoting mental well-being alongside physical health. Clients often experience reduced stress and improved concentration.
